Freshly Minted Specialists Entering Practice Fully LANAP Trained

Periodontists streaming into marketplace as LANAP Regenerative Specialists

CERRITOS, Calif. (May 11, 2017) — Periodontists who have completed their training are now establishing their own specialty practice across the United States, leveraging their university-based LANAP training in an ever-increasing competitive landscape.

The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry is a non-profit educational and research center dedicated to providing evidence-based clinical training in advanced laser dentistry therapies.

LANAP protocol is the only dental laser protocol FDA cleared for True Periodontal Regeneration – regeneration of the alveolar bone, periodontal ligament, and cementum destroyed by gum disease.
These freshly minted graduates are also being quickly placed into leading periodontal practices, both those currently offering the LANAP protocol and those who wish to add a patient friendly and scientifically proven regenerative treatment option, all due to the additional value they offer with their state-of-the-art skills in Laser Assisted Regeneration™ (LAR).

Premier periodontal residency programs across the country that have incorporated the LANAP® protocol into their curricula are also seeing a surge of the highest quality applicants interested in programs that include LANAP training as part of the core curriculum.

“We were excited but not surprised to hear the post-graduate periodontal programs such as Rutgers, Case Western and the U.S. Army and Navy who teach the LANAP and LAPIP protocols are seeing a surge of new applications,” states Robert H. Gregg, II, DDS, inventor of the LANAP protocol.  “Dentists worldwide are seeing patient resistance to traditional cut-and-sew periodontal surgeries, as well as a tsunami of failing dental implants.  Advanced training in the LANAP and LAPIP protocols arms these graduates with the skills needed to address today’s challenges.”

“We are supporting these new graduates with an exclusive PerioLase MVP-7 New Graduate Package,” continues Dr. Gregg.  “The package includes the elements needed for a recent graduate to have an immediate impact on patients in their local communities, at a special price.”

“A major component of the LANAP protocol’s success is our standardized, best-in-dentistry training continuum from our Certified IALD Instructors, who undergo a standardized, rigorous training process to achieve Certified Instructor status,” said Dawn M. Gregg, DDS, CEO & Training Director for the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD). “When periodontal residents begin their LANAP training while still in school from an IALD Certified Instructor at their university, they are obtaining a truly comprehensive advanced education including Laser Assisted Regeneration. The LANAP protocol, exclusively with the PerioLase® MVP-7™ dental laser, is the first and only full mouth protocol FDA cleared for True Regeneration, helping doctors regenerate alveolar bone, cementum and periodontal ligaments lost to gum disease.”

ABOUT MILLENNIUM DENTAL TECHNOLOGIES, INC.:  Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc., is the developer of the LANAP protocol for the treatment of gum disease and the manufacturer of the PerioLase MVP-7 digital dental laser.
