The LAPIP™ protocol enables you to address peri-implantitis and the growing prevalence of implant failures with a highly effective tissue-sparing, non-destructive treatment.

The LAPIP protocol targets diseased tissue, leaving native tissues intact while removing titanium corrosion contaminants in the soft tissue wall. The protocol helps maintain crestal tissue height and increases crestal bone mass around the implant.

Studies indicate that 94% of failing implants treated with the LAPIP protocol have reintegrated in the pocket. And because no resection or reflection of a vertically oriented flap is needed, structural tissue integrity is retained.

With LAPIP, you can protect your patient’s implant investment and deliver amazing long-term results.

Hope for Hopeless Implants

The well-defined LAPIP™ protocol provides an effective, minimally invasive surgical methodology to address and treat the growing incidence of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis.
Jon B. Suzuki, DDS, PhD, MBA
Philadelphia, PA
Bone growing back around implants, are you kidding me? It really happens, it’s shocking, it’s incredible, and I can’t believe it.
Gary M. Schwarz, DDS, MSD
McAllen, TX
One of the highest risks of peri-implantitis is a previous history of non-treated periodontal disease. One of the benefits of the LAPIP protocol is a decrease in periodontal bacteria which would increase the long-term prognosis of implants in a patient.
Ann K. Astolfi, DMD
Bethlehem, PA
The LAPIP procedure is very predictable for treating peri-implantitis that doesn’t involve membranes, bone grafts, and major surgical procedures. It’s very cost-effective for you and your patients. I’ve seen bone regeneration, better tissue results, and happier patients!
Allen S. Honigman, DDS, MS
Newark, NJ
A patient was about to lose his front tooth and an implant. With the LAPIP protocol, we were able to regenerate bone to save both the implant and the tooth without a single incision. The patient had minimal downtime and discomfort. This is the power of the laser!
M. Natalie Dianati, DDS
Agoura Hills, CA
This was our very first LAPIP case and I was just amazed at the results that we got. It really made me believe in the power of dental lasers.
Steven K. Wong, DDS
Cerritos, CA

LAPIP Treatment Protocol

A. Perio probe indicates excessive pocket depth.
B. PerioLase® MVP-7™ laser energy vaporizes bacteria, diseased tissue, pathologic proteins, and titanium corrosion contaminants in soft tissue.
C. Ultrasonic scaler tips are used to remove surface accretions.
D. Bone is modified at time of surgery.
E. Laser is used to form a stable fibrin blood clot containing stem cells from bone.
F. Adhesion to clean surface, with a stable fibrin clot at the gingival crest to create a “closed system.”
G. Occlusal trauma is adjusted.
H. New attachment is regenerated.
