All dentists using lasers should - at a minimum - complete a Standard Proficiency Course (formerly Category II Certificate) according to the Curriculum Guidelines and Standards for Dental Laser Education, ©1992, 1998. The PerioLase® Periodontal Package™ purchase includes a Standard Proficiency Course as Evolution One of training and 4* days of clinical hands-on training at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD). The first three days of training must be taken in succession and passed before the PerioLase® laser will be delivered to the doctor's office.
